Birdwood Downs Station

Birdwood Downs Station is located on the Gibb River Road just 20km from Derby in the West Kimberley. Birdwood is owned by the Burton Family and is run in conjunction with Mt Elizabeth Station on the Gibb River Rd, Willare Roadhouse and Kilto Station, near Broome. At Birdwood we have a small cattle operation and have opened the property to tourism.

The station has a bush style campground for campers and caravans.
Our campground has lots of space with roomy sites and beautiful established trees giving lots of shade. We also have Savannah Huts for those needing a bed for the night. Birdwood is the perfect location to base yourself and take day trips to the local tourist attractions. Meet other travelers and locals around our ‘very popular’ campfire each evening and taste our local Burton Beef sausages, burgers and steak! Our beef is available for you to purchase at reception along with Birdwood merchandise so you can remember your stay!

The Station is open for camping and accommodation from 1 April until 30 September. You are welcome to arrive without booking but we advise to book during the peak season (June-July-August).
