    Nestled within the Wunaamin Conservation Park is Mount Hart Wilderness Lodge. Take a turn onto Mount Hart Road from the Derby-Gibb River Road, near the Wunaamin Miliwundi Ranges Lookout, and drive approximately 50km to reach the lodge. For those coming from Broome, it's a 6-hour drive by 4WD, with charter flights from Broome to Mount Hart also available upon arrangement through our team.

    The journey to Mount Hart Wilderness Lodge involves unsealed roads, best suited for 4WD vehicles.

    Conditions can fluctuate throughout the year, potentially impacting access. Please note that we are unable to offer vehicle recovery services if you encounter difficulties on the road. Travel is at your own risk and we are not liable for any associated travel costs you may encounter.

    To ensure a smooth journey, stay up to date with the latest from Main Roads WA, or contact us to discuss the conditions. Accessibility at Mount Hart - it is possible to guests with crutches, walkers or wheelchairs to visit Mount Hart however please give us a call before booking so that you are accommodated in suitable accommodation with suitable access to pathways and bathrooms.     Mount Hart Riverside Campground (2025)
    Situated on the pristine and shady banks of the Barker River, approximately 1km from the main lodge area is the Mount Hart campground. The unpowered sites are perfect for avid campers and caravans looking for a shady place to relax after a day of adventure. Swimming is available in the river with easy access via a pontoon and ladder. *Kids under 12 camp for free. Children 12-16 camp for $16 per child/night. Families camp for $80 per family/night. As a Conservation Park, domestic animals are not permitted at Mount Hart.
